A new version of draft-liu-bess-srv6-evpn-validation has been uploaded.
The main updates since last IETF are:
a) Saumya and Changwang have joined as co-authors
b) The discussion on the format of validation messages has been added as a new
section. Besides icmpv6, leveraging MPLS echo request/reply with a new UDP port
has been added as the second possible option.
We believe that a similar data plane failure detection mechanism as in MPLS
EVPN is also required for EVPN over SRv6.

Abstract:
For MPLS EVPN, RFC9489 specifies the mechanisms for detecting data
plane failures using LSP Ping. This document proposes a similar
mechanism to detect data plane failures for EVPN over SRv6.
