OK, Bill, I plead guilty! Having accepted that moving from J6 to J8
was going to be inevitable, I had migrated my J6 (and any J7) user
stuff into the j8 folders. (The j6 binaries and J6 addons are still
under a j602 folder, but I moved all my user/...ijs etc)
J6 is working fine - with very minor niggles - in this new environment,
while I hadn't been using GTK or JHS apart from the odd peek now and again.
Now I'd thought one could keep jqt beta somewhat independent of the rest
by using user/configqt instead of user/config .
However, in view of your remarks below, I see that
edit|configure|Launch Pad reveals the file launch.cfg, which resides in
.../config, not.../configqt
So I've inspected .../bin/profilex.ijs and found I needed to edit it to
reset config=.user,'\configqt' to put this right. Is that the preferred
action, or should I have made a startup.ijs? If so, where should startup
go?
