In J6, GRIDHWNDC was a string of characters. In J8 it's an integer. This will break any old code that puts grids in a form. I suggest applying 0 ".^:(2=3!:0) to any GRIDHWNDC given by the user, so that old code can port easily. FWIW, GRIDPID seems always to have been an integer.
