In another message, I mentioned how the lapack lab documents features
which are not in any obvious way functional.

Here's an example of what I am currently seeing:

Applications/j64-801/addons/math/lapack/doc/dgbrfs.lap:DGBRFS improves
the computed solution to a system of linear equations
Applications/j64-801/addons/math/lapack/doc/zgbrfs.lap:ZGBRFS improves
the computed solution to a system of linear equations
Binary file Applications/j64-801/addons/math/lapack/lapack.so matches
Binary file Applications/j64-801/addons/math/lapack/lapack64.so matches
Binary file Applications/j64-801/addons/math/lapack/lapack_raspi32.so matches

(This is on a mac, but it basically matches what I was seeing on a
different OS.)

If we are going to be addressing these kinds of issues on an
open-source basis, I think we are going to need a bigger population of
C programmers in our community. (Or we can wait for the few dedicated
ISI people to get to this kind of thing, but they're already doing a
tremendous amount of work. But I haven't decided yet if my personal
amusement justifies me sending them enough money to address all the
various issues I have been noticing. I'm not even sure if I have
enough money for that.)

Thanks,
