then click toward the bottom of the term window. The WinSelect_jqtide_ variable, set as an input to user keys, is wrong.
It seems to be pointing into one of the long lines of boxing. My quick guess is that something about the long lines confuses whatever sets the selection. When it was failing for me, the lines were broken in the middle of a UTF8 sequence, so there was an invalid character on the screen. The erroneous selection was near that, so maybe someone is giving up when presented with malformed UTF8. In that case the solution might be to be careful to break long lines on glyph boundaries.
