I was bored yesterday so I tried the recent beta on various OS's 1) 32 bit mac - iterations prior to this one did not work on my older Mac. This one does. JQT no problems. I was not able to run the jhs command to start the server. This is a mac permissions problem, not related to J, but a few tips in the readme.txt on how to overcome this would be helpful.
2) 64 bit Windows 7 - once you install the C++ redistribute dll things work very well. jd runs through all it's tests. JQT again no problems so far. JHS works well - even on older IE browsers that I seldom use. 3) 64 bit Windows 8.1 - no problems 4) Today 32 linux if I get a few moments. JQT is now extremely competitive with both JHS and older J 6.02 IDEs for actual sustained J work. To everyone working on this your efforts are appreciated. -- John D.
