Good question.  I'm  -. too smart. It should be a big black square with a 1
square border of white.

If you run this code in jqt  you'll see the difference between S and  -. S

load 'viewmat'
GRB=:1 0 2{"1 (#:i.8){0 255
]S=:(0=|.|:|.B)+.0=B=:<./~i.11
GRB viewmat S
GRB viewmat -.S

However, I was using JHS and got a single black line.  After a carriage
return I got a big black square. Today I get:

[load 'viewmat'
   GRB=:1 0 2{"1 (#:i.8){0 255 
   ]S=:(0=B)+.0=B=:|.|:|.A=:i.11
1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
   GRB viewmat S
|value error: getalpha
|   opaque=.*./255=,    getalpha y

You don't see a white border on a white JHS screen.
