When I type i. the i becomes an I when the following period is typed. If I follow the period by a backspace, no backspace occurs, and the I become an i, still followed by a period. I can now type 2 3 after the period and press the enter key to see the expected 2 by 3 array. It is annoying that typing the space after the 2 causes the keyboard to revert to alpha, and I have to request the numeric keyboard again to type the 3.
