Thank you. I am sorry for being unclear. I have used J602 for a long time and
being embarrased for not being up to date I downloaded and installed J804. It

My OS is Windows 7. The J804 front end seems to be called "J Term". (?).
In J602 I could plot these odds by the commands load 'plot' plot 5 odds
12but J804 gave the error message mentioned.

Not sure what OS or J front end you are using or what you are trying to do.
However the error message implies that you haven't installed the
'graphics/plot' addon.
One way to install the addon that should work in most cases is:
load 'pacman'
'install' jpkg 'graphics/plot'
Or is your point more that the error message should be more helpful?
