I don't think the problem is in the lab, but in plot. If you just run
plot i. 5
plot 1 3 2 5 4
You'll see that the display is not immediately updated, but requires
some event to make a paint happen.
The solution could be to change to an isidraw control, or to force
glpaint'' at the end of graphics.
I am fearless and will try to change anything, but I would like to give
someone who knows the plot package better a chance first.
