I've installed the new beta on
(1) Mac-mini running OS X El Capitan
(2) Old Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
(3) HP tower running Windows 7
The installation was simple & flawless on all three.
Thank you for the continued support of 10.6.8 -- that
laptop will probably never be upgraded.

Limited use so far, but I've seen no anomalies in my work.
All this is with Qt, as I make little use of Jhs. I've verified
that both jhs and jcon work well, however. (I do use jconsole
for long runs on my office computer that I start remotely.)
Thanks for continuing to improve the interface to this fantastic
language.

P.S. Haven't had a chance to install 804 on my office linux box
     yet; maybe next week.

A new J804 beta is available for Windows, OSX, Linux and Raspberry Pi.
Install from www.jsoftware.com/download/j804/install.

For a list of changes, see code.jsoftware.com/wiki/System/ReleaseNotes/J804.

The most important change was a reworking of the way terminal i/o and
events are handled. Please notify us if you see any unusual behaviour in
the terminal or form event handling.

This should be the last beta, and we expect a final release by the end of
the month.

We'd appreciate feedback, either to the beta forum or if specifically on
Qt, to the qt mailbox group.
