I get the same results as Jan-Pieter on both a tablet with app level 17 and a 
phone with app level 22.

Your api level 17 is android 4.2 (jelly bean), while I tested on android 4.4 
(kitkat). The problem is rather complicated because it depends both on android 
version and soft keyboard. Different versions of android require different 
methods to detect the enter key. IIRC the original jconsole for android cannot 
detect enter key on Jelly Bean.  Furthermore, stock soft keyboards from 
different manufacturer can give different scan code for the same enter key.
