Found the culprit!

The deb package put profile.ijs into /etc/j/8.05/profile.ijs, not
/usr/bin/profile.ijs.
Workaround:
sudo ln -s /etc/j/8.05/profile.ijs /usr/bin/profile.ijs
Next issue: After running install 'all', I try to start jqt:
