Dear Eric,
I use linux opensuse leap 42.1 and I had to change the command lines of
the desktop icons to:
jhs: konsole -e "/home/arie/j64-806/bin/jconsole
~addons/ide/jhs/config/jhs.cfg"
jconsole: konsole -e "/home/arie/j64-806/bin/jconsole"
note: Replacing konsole with xterm works also for me.
In the startup konsole there's also the message:
"~ /lib64/libtinfo.so.5: no version information available (required by
/home/arie/j64-806/bin/jconsole)"
