FWIW, I this occurred on an Olimex Olinuxino ARM development board
running stock Debian wheezy (and yes: gcc (Debian 4.6.3-14) 4.6.3).
This has a bit more oomph than the pre-1.3 RPis and is my main ARM
board because it features a real SATA port, with an SSD attached.
