Hi David,
Thank you for your hint. I have turned on Cleartype now:
just for JQt.
All my other programs displayed text correctly, except for a
more recent version of LibreOffice (Java based, with changes
to their font renderer).
IMO a 133DPI screen in native resolution should be just
enough for crisp text. Windoze is always again a strange
experience.
Thanks for your help.
Greetings,
JoHo

Hi JoHo,
I am using J 8.07 beta d on Win10-64. If I turn off
ClearType, I see the same problem you do. If I turn on
and adjust ClearType, the About J window font looks fine
to me.
Cheers,

issue )

Hello,
Beta installation of 8.07 on a Win7 32 system with 133DPI
screen went fine.
There is still a font rendering problem with the JQt IDE
menus and forms, as I have experience with previous
versions.
Please see the attached screenshot. The rendering of text I
type into a script is OK
Is there any setting in the JQt IDE, which would improve the
font rendering?
Greetings,
JoHo
