Thanks for that reassurance and the pointers to info.

As far as I could tell,  the home page you gave for for Bairak - actually
scholium dot narod dot ru - showing a Ukrainian flag despite the .ru domain - is ok -
the trouble arose when I selected the link named "matematik" .

As you will appreciate,  I closed the Google Chrome Browser from Windows Task Manager immediately the screen flashed up and the speaker blared with some panic-inducing stuff, so I'm not in a position to give chapter and verse.  I only recall something claiming to be Windows so It might be that the flashing and blaring were legitimate warnings based on
a false alarm in some protective overlay.

So, around 4pm GMT I started Avast Free Antivirus on a full scan which eventually finished about 8 hours later!  It reports 6 probably innocent but ancient exes or dlls that I've kept from old machines,  eg \IBM\ud71\bin\stopudsrv.exe .  I'm fairly sure it's all ok.

Thanks, I'll have a look at your archived pdfs, hoping Avast tells me in its Pirate drawl that
"the matey's scurvy-free" or some such.

I look forward to Karataev's home-spun filosofi and perhaps some potato-bashing,

Cheers,

Mike

Mike,

I'm sorry about troubles with links I've supplied in quatern.ijs . I've re-
visited both links yesterday, while fixing a bug. Nothing was suspicious. I was
using the last version of Firefox and no anti-virus at that moment.

I've already removed that links from mt addon.

Both sites are available in the archive.org . If you are interested in pdf
files from these sites, I've just uploaded them in https://drive.google.com/
open?id=1auQnqnUi91dQy5zK814LcMVz55QVx75O . I had downloaded them Aug. 29,
2011 and Sep. 1, 2011. I hope they are virus-free.
