Hi Eric,

8.06 is running on fine on my old non AVX MacBook Pro (mid 2009).

I have downloaded first 8.07 All in One and then j901_mac64-beta.zip
For both versions I get the same error for JCON.APP
Computer says: no. … in short: jcon.app is damaged. Move it to trash.
That appears to me like an incompatibility with OS 10.11.6 El Capitan (pre
Sierra).

for 9.01 beta:
from OSX terminal updateje.sh and updatejqt.sh did run without error indication.
… but still nothing functioned.

In my desperation I tried to run fix-sierra command on El Capitan, which
actually did something beneficiary.
Afterwards:
 jcon.app was working.
jqt.app did flash a little turquoise J and disappeared without further error
msg.

Then returning to the beta-zip installations instructions with a functioning J
console, “installer 0” etc.,
but that did not help either to run jqt.app, which shows same behaviour as
described above.
