Start J, then select menu Edit|Configure|Startup Script.

Enter a profont definition, for example try:

  wd 'sm profont arial 12'

Close the script and restart J. You should see that font in the menus.

Alternatively, edit the startup.ijs script directly. On my Wine that
setting is:

c:\>type c:/users/chris/j901-user/config/startup.ijs

wd 'sm profont arial 12'
