Here after running CTSO2, we should expect CTDepthLim to be 9 and we
should expect both CTShows and CTStops to be unchanged (because we
used =. to give them their values, so those were local names).

This would also account for why both j807 and j902 had this problem.

Or did I misunderstand what you were trying to express?
