My guess is that it is something in the jQT engine because the tooltips would
be mostly affected by the way that webview processes svg. I was using 30{a. as
a way of doing non-breakable lines in the tooltips for the j807 version of jig.
I wonder if jqt is using 31{a. as linefeeds for the tooltips and that may have
been affected by your 31{a. surrogate
I agree that the changes that you have mentioned would be unlikely to affect
the way that I construct the svg strings that webview displays.
