The main new feature in beta-p is that virtual blocks are allowed inside
boxes in cases where they weren't before. An example is
x ;@(}. ; {.) y
where the }. and {. will produce a virtual result which now never needs
to be realized.

calls regex.
I am aware that this doesn't help a lot narrowing down the error and I will
