Yes... and I should probably be using an isidraw rather than an isigraph for this kind of exploratory coding.
My only concern about the isigraph is whether it would be possible to avoid the crashes for example, by forcing some kind of error when the context is isigraph but outside of a paint event handler. I'll start a new thread on that glqtextmetrics domain error.
