Now that J601 has Unicode support could we have Unicode names (nouns
verbs etc.) instead of the basic ASCII limitation?
Then you could define, ({symbolically} as some email programs do not
do Unicode), items like...
{iota} =: i.
{rho} =: $
{divide} =: %
{epsilon} =: e.
Etc. (we could also have the APL comment character as an equivalent of NB.)
Then you could tranliterate all your old APL code into J or just write
J flavoured APL code.
People would have the choice of coding with ASCII or with APL like
symbols. I already use "APL385 Unicode" as my font in J601.
:-)
Unicode if you can render it....
' ( ) + , - . / : ;
< = > ? [ ]
\ _ ¨ ¯ × ÷ ← ↑ → ↓
∆ ∇ ∘ ∣ ∧ ∨
∩ ∪ ∼ ≠ ≤ ≥ ≬ ⊂ ⊃ ⌈
⌊ ⊤ ⊥ ⋆ ⌶ ⌷
⌸ ⌹ ⌺ ⌻ ⌼ ⌽ ⌾ ⌿ ⍀ ⍁
