I used to provide arguments against removing inflexions.
I was providing theoretical hypothezations, aluding
to hysterical rasins, etc. Before the actual thing
appeared in a next beta, that is.
I am usually excited with changes, and am willing
to give them a spin. I started using the explicit
definitions for all new code. My impressions are
all positive:
- it makes the code look more compact (one of APL principles)
- explicit definitions look and feel less imprerative
and more phrase-like (that's a subjective impression)
- it allows powerful new constructs in object/locale
syntax, which were not possible, thus were avoided
before, which impeded productivity and production of
new constructs, like the

That's an example of "breakthrough" empowering technology.
Remeber, Dijkstra: tools influence our thinking.
- it forces more conscious decisions on variable name choices,
such as using upper case for nouns and selecting more meaningful
names. Not just x and y but what kind: coordinates of a point? -- then maybe
