Sounds like the new opengl stuff works and the problems were mixing your old
application with the new stuff without making the necessary (though few)
changes.
I suggest that you work your way through the lab opengl intro.

Subject: Re: [Jbeta] Mac: testopengl failure
Encouraged by Joey experience I tried more
experiments and find the much of openGL does work on my Mac,
too. The cause of the previous error was the following code
which worked in J5:
testdlls=: 3 : 0
0!:0 <jpath'~system\extras\util\testogl.ijs'
'All OK.'
)
In the opengl demo, the Title page does not display
any contents.
Another error I get with my own code (The code can
be found at
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/BrianSchott/code/turtleGraphics/3Dogl
and clicking on tgsj3ogl.ijs ). The error is triggered by a
call to glinit as follows after commenting out the call
to the above verb: "testdlls''".
load '/Users/brian/j601/addons/turtle/tgsj3ogl.ijs'
Look for examples near the beginning of the script.
|value error: glinit
| glinit''
Perhaps there is a document which explains the new
openGL release. I could not find it in the J6 release notes,
though. Oh, wait .... I remember now: Raul's jwiki
contribution. I'll go there.
