J64 requires the 64 bit version of the java runtime. The J64 j.jar will fail under the 32 java engine with a complaint about being
unable to load jnative.dll. This fails because J64 jnative.dll is a 64 bit dll.
Since J32 runs OK on your system this indicates the default java run for a
j.jar is the 32 bit version.
Check to see if you have a 64 bit java engine installed. If you haven't done it recently yourself the answer is likely no. In that
case the 1st step is to download the JRE 1.5.0_06 for windows 64 bit and install it. I'm not sure, but this normal install may make
the 64 bit JRE the default for j.jar in which case J64 will run and 504 will no longer work correctly. Probably the best option if
you want to run both J32 and J64 is to edit the launch icons to not use the j.jar file association, and instead provide the full
path to the java engine and provide parameters -jar j.jar.
Please let us know how this goes and whether you have any suggestions on how this should be documented and packaged. The situation
is messy and it is not clear what to do. Certainly at least this miminal info need to be cleaned up and provided.

Subject: [Jbeta] J601nbeta_Win64
I have loaded j601nbeta_WIN64 but have not been able to start J. No response
from j.jar.
I have been able to load j504b_win64 and this starts as expected.
Also running j601nbeta - runs as expected.
Running Windows XP64 with dual AMD64 chips.
