Dunno if this is new in the betas, but there do not seem to be keystroke equivalents for dialog buttons - though there are underlines indicating one should expect such - eg the Find dialog. One can navigate with the tab order ... but it is quite strenuous and requires visual attention. Also repeatedly finding a string is quite difficult, at least under windows. One either needs to use the mouse to click the find button or one needs to do a lot of shift-alt-tabs to regain the focus of the find dialog, after every single find. Perhaps it could be more like most find dialogs, and retain focus until dismissed, or focus is explicitly changed? Being so different from other find dialogs can be quite hazardous, as if one goes to dismiss the window with an escape ... one can kill the entire J session!
i imagine a lot of this will become clearer when the "Graphics - gl2 events" Lab is finished ... but is there an explication somewhere now, as to how to access a keystroke event using sysdata? i want to be signaled when an arrow key is hit and then access which key was stroked. i have been able to access ctrl and shift'ed regular keys with the fkey event type in the form editors code dialog ... but that only covers a rather select set of keystrokes. ~greg ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
