Don't understand why this would be (obeta problems on Mac). Please try
again with the p beta (available in the next day or so and report the
problem again if it is still there.

After installing o beta on my old iBook the greeting screen comes up
with an ijx window behind it. But the button to dismiss the greeting
screen
and the check box to say I don't want to see it in the future are both
disabled - grayed out.
Moreover, the menus on the ijx window don't work. They did for the
first
session. In the first session after installation, since I couldn't
dismiss
the greeting screen I just ignored it. The menus worked for that
session
but now they don't.
I have 504b installed too. It works OK.
