Same here.

Fresh startup of J,
Alt-S,Alt-L,down,down,Alt-R  ->  runs "A Taste of J (2)"
Then
Alt-S,Alt-L,down,Alt-R  ->  bell sound and nothing happens; have to TAB 
(which makes the "Run" button active) and hit Enter.

Win2KProSP4, J601o (haven't got round to p yet).
