lists c (the class of the current character) as a
parameter to ew and ev.

However, it does not specify the value of c for the
end of input case when d is negative.

However, that seems irrelevant as the value of c
seems to have no effect on the result of either ew
or ev.  (It is used to select either ew or ev, in
the typical case, but that's different).

I think this page would be clearer if c were removed
as an argument to ew and ev.
