My installation (on 64-bit Fedora Core 6) went well. I needed a lot of help with jconsole on the last version (thanks, Eric!): it worked out the box this time. jwd worked immediately with 64-bit Java. I imagine this will be the main stumbling block for Linux64 installers. I am pleased that the new Linux versions can be installed by a regular user. jwd runs under Sun Java and Blackdown Java. It does not run under gij, but that's no big deal. There does seem to be a problem connected with some package (I don't know which: I downloaded them all). Package Manager appeared to work fine. However, then I could not restart J without error: I get jwd: Error and no IDE for debugging jconsole: |value error: INSTALLFOLDER | IFAPP_j_=:1:@(1!:4) ::0:<jhostpath INSTALLFOLDER,'\application.ijs' After this message, jconsole continues to work. Like Xu Zuoqian, I have some concerns about startup directories. I will try to articulate these later.
