Which version can be confusing during the beta but is not usually a problem with production releases. I'll think about simple way to make this easier during beta periods.

About J provides somewhat better info in the latest dbeta.

The version you desribe is ineed the dbeta. Perhaps what is confusing is that the JE hasn't changed in quite some time as we have tried to sort out installer problems.

You don't have to throw anything away. But keeping things tidy always helps.

Subject: Re: [Jbeta] windows dbeta available

I downloaded the new Beta

How do I know what version I am using

The date on the J.exe in Program files/J602/bin is 11.12.2007 17:10

The Help and 9 14 give the date in sept

  9!:12''
6
  9!:14''
j602/beta/2007-09-19/23:00

I have other directories with J602 and I am not sure if I am supposed to
throw some of them away

2007/12/12, Eric Iverson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

The dbeta for windows is available at the web site.
This beta has the same JE the previous release.
The main change is a new library that lays the groundwork for IDE changes.
See Help|Release Highlights|IDE.
ijs windows are now opened readonly.
