It is unlikely wd or gl2 will be supported directly jhs in the way that you require. For that kind of use you'll need the j.exe front end on windows or the upcoming GTK front end where portability or new features are of value.
It will be fairly easy to create wd like application interfaces with jhs (just create an html page with a form and display it). But they won't be automated from current wd applications and there are tighter limits on what can be done in a browser. There are some interesting possibilities with graphics with a bit more work. There are client side capabilities (svg/vml/canvas) and there are server side possibilities. For example, it would be quite easy to have the server (running as j.exe or with GTK) to create gl2 plots, convert to gif or png or whatever and then display these on the client. For some applications the current pdf mechanism might be more than adequate. One nice addition to the current pdf support would be to have multiple plot pages in the same pdf allowing normal pdf navigation. Shortly I'll provide a jhs application that shows how one would develop a simple, gui application for jhs.
