Ok, I have had some success with the plotting. With Safari `jpdfshow` seemed to work the first time with no hitches, but that was after quite a circuitous route attempting to use `jpdfshow` with Firefox (Mac) which seems to want a new plugin for Acrobat. But when Firefox stops me to tell me to add the plugin it also stops my jum session and the error message I get when I tried to move to Safari was that www.jsoftware.com was not available, but really only my jum session was unavailable.
Well I continued trying to download the Acrobat plugin on Firefox before I realized that only jum was unavailable. Finally I discovered that only jum was unavailable and I attempted the `jpdfshow` on Safari which gave me immediate, if slow, results. I still don't have Firefox working, but that may just be a problem that requires relaunching Firefox (again).
