I can reproduce the crash in linux, a simpler procedure would 1. open the edit window 2. open any one script into edit window 3. use mouse to drag the tab to another other places, such as the buffer text or side bar. 4. release mouse button and it crashes.
You can disable d&d by setting detachable to 0 (the default). However I guess the intention is to allow d&d between 2 notebooks, it seems more robust code is needed for d&d.
