Hi Bill, I now finally got around to setting-up GTK in my Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate Edition machine. This is my work development machine.
Even with the email patch you sent me, J6 isn't working but J7 do. :( In J6, I'm getting this error (with or without the patch): load jpath '~addons/gui/gtk/demo/tut1.ijs' |domain error: f | cb1=: f 2 |[-1826] C:\j602\addons\gui\gtk\gtk.ijs Btw, I'm using a GTK+2.2 bundled package from www.gtk.org and running the gtk-demo works as documented. As I've said, this works with J7 but not with J6 ... any help would be appreciated. So to summarize: Ubuntu Linux 10.04 32-bit (GTK+ preinstalled) ** J7 - works ** J6 - fails Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 32-bit (GTK+ 2.2 bundled installer) ** J7 - works ** J6 - fails Mac OS X 10.6.4 (GTK+ manually compiled) ** J7 - fails ** J6 - fails I also compared the ~addons/gui/gtk/gtk.ijs in both J7 and J6 and there are no difference between the files. Any suggestion what I should do next? I'm more interested right now in getting J6 to work with Windows then later on Ubuntu. Although I really want to work with J7, the system is still in beta and there may be major changes prior to release. When I woked up this morning I got a nagging feeling that there should not be ang fcoclass verb. So I went back and removed the "f" and leaving only coclass ... and now everthing works even tut7.ijs. The additional "f" must have been added when I was trying to do find strings in the code by pressing CTRL+F and I may have missed CTRL. Heheheh. So the base J/GTK works on linux. My next step is make a set of GUI's for the functionalities I'm looking for. Are your sure that fcoclass came from my patch? You may checkout the svn at http://www.jsoftware.com/svn/public/trunk and build the latest addons by yourself.
