I have done a fresh install of J along with the Gtk IDE on a Windows XP machine.
JVERSION
Engine: j701/beta/2010-11-24/22:45
Library: 7.01.020
Platform: Win 32
Installer: j701abeta_win.exe
InstallPath: c:/documents and settings/myuser/j701
The Term window seems pretty stable but I when I am working with the
Edit window, J crashes very often.
The following steps seem to be reproducible:
* Start J using jgtk701 icon
* Choose Project|New from the Term window
* Specify a folder under ~Projects (e.g. ~Projects/testing) in "New
Project" dialog
* Click Create button.
-- The specified files appear to be created and Edit window
starts to open at which stage Windows reports:
jconsole.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience. ....
