I definitely like the new menu order better.

I understand that the menus aren't likely to be rejigged too much more
prior to release but will document the following suggestions anyway
while I think of them.

Here is a suggested Menu layout that would more closely mimic the Gtk & j6 IDEs.

[jijx window]
 [Main] [Actions] [Tools] [Help]
 jijx (run scratch) jfif jhelp
 jfile (step) jal demos
 jijs (step in) scratch advance
         ... debug labs...

NB. menu items in parentheses indicate that they would only be visible
NB. in appropriate conditions (e.g. scratch or debug turned on)

[jfile (selection)]
 [Main] [Actions] [?Tools] [Help]
 jijx edit jfif jhelp
 jfile delete jal demos
 jijs delete temps scratch advance
         ... debug labs...

NB. Tool menu not really necessary on this page
NB. if present scratch/debug could still turn tool on
NB. for current session

[jfile (script)]
 [Main] [Actions] [View] [Tools] [Help]
 jijx run numbers jfif jhelp
jfile run display color jal demos
 jijs save scratch advance
         save as... debug labs...
         ...
