I discovered that if I do one more CTRL-Z than the number of changes I made, the edit window goes blank. If I then close the edit window, the file I had been working on gets saved as an empty file.
I would think that CTRL-Z should not regress the file back to an empty file, when the file had content when first loaded. I suggest that CTRL-Z should stop doing anything when the file is back to the originally loaded state. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
