Eric and Brian, On an intel Mac I also get the described results on Safari (and additionally ctrl + arrow moves to the beginning and end of a line), but on Firefox the command + arrow forward and back takes me through the page history sequence and ctrl + arrow forward and back does nothing. Option + arrow forward and back move a word at a time along the line for both browsers. I am not able to test on a powerpc mac.
