That would be fine with me. Are you thinking of including just hexdump or the entire format.ijs script? Some of the verbs in format.ijs require wcsize from J6 stdlib.ijs.
Is there a GTK/JHS equivalent of wcsize? If so, then the rest of the verbs in format.ijs would probably work fine in J7 with that change. If not, then removing the default of wcsize in the verbs where it is used would probably be ok.
