I'm not using MM at all, but the 6.1 web interface seems broken to me too. My server is pretty slow (PII 266MHz), but the web interface is very unresponsive and the player window frequently won't update at all. This is using subversion 3373.
Did you try a very recent nightly? Dan imho fixed it in 2005-06-10. I run it successfully on a P/200 with 64MB RAM :-)
