To be honest, I doubt I'll ever get wol lan running, unless I ever get
around to running a cable into my loft from the lounge (where my router
lives).  My current alternative plan is to have my server wake itself up
at a particular time each weekday, and a different time each weekend. 
It already turns itself off at 11pm if no devices are playing, so this
seems a reasonable solution.
