I suppose I am being picky. What I was hoping to gain by using the Ramdom Mix plugin was a lower memory overhead (by not keeping a 5000 song playlist in memory) , but I suppose having a few 100 after a number of hours playback isn't a big deal.
My suggestion just means you get the best of both worlds. A playlist you never have to worry about clearing. Just stick it on Random and it'll manage itself.
