Hey folks: I wrote a very simple script today (attached) that does the following:
- Downloads and untars the latest nightly 6.2 build - Creates a symlink to the new build at /usr/local/slimserver - Kills yesterday's version's daemon - Starts the new version as a daemon It's a quick hack, may be redundant, isn't customizable (unless you change the code directly) and probably isn't bug free. But I like it. It's my inconsequential way of saying thanks for the magic that is SlimServer. It's probably suitable for putting in a daily cron, but I do it manually. Rename to .pl, or just remove the extension and chmod +x, and use at your own risk. Share and enjoy! +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: newslimserver.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=372| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- spblat _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
