There was a bug recently that would set the number of songs preference to an
invalid value. This would give you teh symptoms you see. Check the field for
the number of songs, make sure it has a valid integer and try again. Latest
build should have this setting on teh same page as teh random mix
controls. Earlier builds had these prefs in server setttings->plugins
