OK, after a svn up and killing my prefs file (to return to using sqlite
from mysql) and then scanning the test file library I had posted with
bug 2219, here are the results:

Code:
--------------------

Your music library contains 1 album with 577 songs by 0 artists.

--------------------

When I browse the music folder (it's impossible to browse any other
way...there just isn't anything there) most albums have 0 tracks or the
track titles are null.

While the server is scanning, the screen fills with error messages like
these:

So....

Reverting back to r 4721 and rescanning:

Code:
--------------------

Your music library contains 55 albums with 786 songs by 9 artists.

--------------------

At this revision, everything is browsable and all albums show the
appropriate number of tracks.

I filed a bug report for this earlier today:
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2337

Dan: I apologize for starting this thread with an "ARRRG!" It must be
the latent pirate in me, or something.
