My apologies if this is too basic a question for this advanced forum,
but...
I'm currently running 6.2b1 - 4406. Apart from problems with
rescanning my library (it takes hours to complete even when I only do
playlists), it's basically running fine. Should I upgrade to the
production release? And if so, do I uninstall the current version and
then do a fresh install?
I have a SB2, and a WinXP system with 1 GB of memory. I do have an
extensive library of classical music that I use FLAC for almost
exclusively. There are inconsistent synchronization issues with
SoftSqueeze 2.0b10 (sometimes it's fine but other times a half-second
delay at the box) but, reading the posts, I don't really want to
introduce a lot of new problems as I do not rise to the level of
expertise shown by most of the posters here.
Thanks for your advice, esp. on how to install (if I should!)
BTW, I use the wired ethernet connection through a Linsys router.
