Is the box running Slimserver getting it's IP from the router using DHCP? In most cases a server must have a static IP address. Otherwise when it renews it's IP lease, it could in theory ve assigned a different address causing clients to loose their connection.
I'm not running 6.5b1. It's a bit too early in the dev cycle for me. If I see a post about a must-have feature in the beta or dev forums then I'll make a decision on whether to make the jump or not. But I tend to make a back-up my entire Slimserver dir. To do this, you need to stop the service and exit Slimtray to remove exclusive file locks. Otherwise you won't be able to backup your library database file or Slimtray.exe. Then I just zip up the lot. I then extract the entire nightly on top of what's already there. And I might only upgrade once a week. -- oreillymj ------------------------------------------------------------------------ oreillymj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=17887 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
